the point is, different cultures have different ideas on the age of consent.

no argument that what he was arrested for allegedly happened here.

the age of consent in Japan is 13

in Korea it's 13

in Guyana it's 13

in Chile it's 12

in China it's 14

in Mexico it's 12

in Nigeria it's 13

in Spain it's 13

how much of the world are you prepared to label "child molesters"?

In Poland, it's 15, which is the age Roman started with Kinski

it's like sleeping with the fishes.

I don't care what a culture says. If you're an adult male, getting off with a 13 year old girl, there's something wrong with you.

and I certainly would NOT call him a "Child Molester".

Well, I would.

how much of the world are you prepared to label "child molesters"?

Any culture that condones adult males hooking up with little girls is pretty sickening in my mind.

actually, it's nature.

once a girl has her period, nature is saying that she is ready to bear children, which of course would involve having sex.

you are saying not only that there is something wrong with many cultures, but that there is something wrong with nature itself.

I'd say that was a losing bet.

You are also saying that Japan, Korea, Guyana, Chile, China, Mexico, Nigeria and Spain are all nations of child molesters.

I don't care what a culture says.

they have a name for that.

Since we're still on the subject of films and filmmakers (or at least their sex life), I went to "Gangs of New York" last night.

By watching it, you get the idea why New York is One Tough Town.

Walking out of the movie -- which filled start to finish with grisly, violent mayhem by stone-evil scoundrels -- I deadpanned to my wife "That town ain't so tough."

New York, New York: the city so nice they named it twice.

Nature thinks that men having sex with girls who have menstrated is right.

You know more than nature? (not to mention perhaps at least half the entire world)

Have you been explained to about the birds and the bees yet?

they do it too you know.

"Nature thinks that men having sex with girls who have menstrated is right."

Another movie line:

An upright, religious Katheryn Hepburn to Humphrey Bogart in "The African Queen:

"Nature is what we were put on Earth to rise above."

Or something like that.

no...nature has it's own abortion...it's called a miscarriage. They happen all the time.

My wife had one once, and yes...it was nature's abortion.

I didn't like it, but I can't very well argue with nature, now can I?

and nature has plenty of examples of animals killing not their fetuses, but their own offspring, often for the good of the parents or species.

from a New York Times scientific article...

“Infanticide is common in nature,” the article notes. “Females kill their young when food is scarce and male lions and bears, for example, sometimes kill the young of a female taken as a new mate, giving them a reproductive and evolutionary edge.”

compared to nature, abortion is a gift.

So are you able to see the difference between a miscarriage and an abortion? One is natural the other is proactive butchery? Natural law is to leave the unborn child alone and let it develop without intervention.

It is moronic to keep certain people and ideas out of government all together because they may be influenced by religion. Crabs, that is anti-American. As for having a track record it isn't any worse than others.
