I've heard about this even before there was internet.... is this true?

IT DOESN'T MATTER IF YOU ARE REPUBLICAN OR DEMOCRAT!

GET A BILL STARTED TO PLACE ALL POLITICIANS ON SOC. SEC.

SOCIAL SECURITY:

Perhaps we are asking the wrong questions during election years.

Our Senators and Congresswomen do not pay into Social Security and, of course, they do not collect from it.

You see, Social Security benefits were not suitable for persons of their rare elevation in society. They felt they should have a special plan for themselves. So, many years ago they voted in their own benefit plan.

In more recent years, no congressperson has felt the need to change it. After all, it is a great plan.

For all practical purposes their plan works like this:

When they retire, they continue to draw the same pay until they die.

Except it may increase from time to time for cost of living adjustments..

For example, Senator Byrd and Congressman White and their wives may expect to draw $7,800,000.00 (that's Seven Million, Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars), with their wives drawing $275, 000.00 during the last years of their lives.

This is calculated on an average life span for each of those two Dignitaries.

Younger Dignitaries who retire at an early age, will receive much more during the rest of their lives.

Their cost for this excellent plan is $0.00. NADA..! ZILCH...

This little perk they voted for themselves is free to them. You and I pick up the tab for this plan. The funds for this fine retirement plan come directly from the General Funds;

"OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK "!

From our own Social Security Plan, which you and I pay (or have paid) into, every payday until we retire (which amount is matched by our employer). We can expect to get an average of $1,000 per month after retirement.

Or, in other words, we would have to collect our average of $1,000 monthly benefits for 68 years and one (1) month to equal Senator! Bill Bradley's benefits!

Social Security could be very good if only one small change were made.

That change would be to:

Jerk the Golden Fleece Retirement Plan from under the Senators and Congressmen. Put them into the Social Security plan with the rest of us

Then sit back.....

And see how fast they would fix it.

Sounds like it could be true... I've heard the same line of reasoning used before with health care.

What the hell does DIGJAM mean???????
Sun, 08/12/2007 - 8:21 AM Permalink
zephyrus

They are quite different things altogether...

HID refers to the way the bulb system works - kind of like a fluorescent bulb...

Low Density headlamps refer to the anti-fogging system in relation to the headlamp housing - allowing air to enter into the area between the bulb and outer glass lens.

So in theory, you could have both, I guess, at the same time if you wanted to.

What is a good site to use for stopping junk snail-mail? Are there any such sites that are free? Or are there other effective methods for dealing with junk mail?

Hey Kitch - How do you unhide a file and folder that was previously hidden in WinXP?

I can't search them either.
Mon, 08/20/2007 - 2:13 PM Permalink
KITCH

try this...

In My Computer click the Tools menu and click Folder Options. In the Folder Options dialog box, click the View tab. In the Advanced Settings section, look for the Hidden Files And Folders section. Click the Show Hidden Files And Folders radio button and remove the check mark for the Hide Protected Operating System Files (Recommended) option. Click OK to close the Folder Options dialog box.

Hey Kitch - What can I say to get bill collectors to stop calling my work phone lookign for one of my employees
Thu, 08/23/2007 - 5:32 AM Permalink
KITCH

You just need to tell them to stop they are breaking the law (FDCPA) a debt collector can't call back after any person at a place of employment tells you to stop calling.....

but....

lets take it one step farther...

http://www.lawpoint.com/

have your employee call this guy...

if they haven't stopped after you told them to they are breaking the law and you might as well win some money...

my Sarah is turning 16 on September 30!!!!
before you ask me why I waited til a month before its here first off, life goes too fast for me to realize I have a daughter turning 16 AND we procrastinate in this family and are always late ....

She wanted me to ASK KITCH for some great Sweet 16 birthday party ideas that are reasonsable and NOT corny to make her day special. She is aware that she will not get:

#1 a new car

#2 a $40,000 party like those girls on MTV

please advise

Shes thinking a limo would be involved somehow though
