2015 Diggorius Rex Treasure Hunt

Hunting about this haunted city, we often think she's lovely.
Two spirits however, have adamantly declared, "It's toxic and quite dirty."
Abandoned from the grounds, they plot to thwart those who oppose them.
A ghostly dream - when it comes true, will universally transform our reality.
Some tricks and treats are in store, for the place we've hidden our bounty.

This much we'll tell you, you’ll need to travel - so many places to visit!
Yet the one spot, that’s got what we’ve got, has more than one path to unravel.
We've studied long (almost two years exactly) and we boast this spot profoundly!

When thinking of places, best use your noggin'
Options are winding down.
More often than not, this place’s sweet spot
Will make you wish you brought a toboggan.

If you're worried about spiraling out of control
When hunting the perfect score,
Use a language that's olden to find something golden.
Now how’d we score in the polls?

No need to fret or go into a tizzy,
Extremes you must simply ignore.
When considering spots, on the map make some dots.
(So much red makes me dizzy!)

Cashing in on visual clues is easier said than done,
Peeking about is child's play - wink, wink.
But if you gaze up high to see what's nearby
You'll get my point - I think.

When building public safety, listen to authority.
Seek to edit prison.
Standing alone, three words engraved in stone.
Make nearby open field a priority.

While plotting your trip, consider your guide
Consider your choices, and take a nice ride.
Bordering our treasure, yellow dots will appear,
Now look lower, and you'll know you are here.

Cross more buildings off of your list—
Save this one that’s nearby.
A neighboring slope drops gently, we hope
You’ll fix the divisions above, then apply.

Hopefully when hunting you don’t hear a shout
And discover the offer’s been shun.
Allow (if you’re still alive) six to eight years to arrive—
Don’t delay, supplies are running out.

A new twist in St Paul are the beautiful streets
That feature full verses inscribed.
None ring this place, but if you make haste
One frigid poet you might meet.

Thinking that stones might be your arch-nemesis,
Feeling that you’ve hit a wall?
Take some steps down, then look ‘round.
Be sure to peer in all crevices.

So we’ve come to the end of another H(a)unt,
Soon the snow will fly.
We scared up a lark to visit Pedro Park
And invited you on this jaunt.

At 10th and Robert in downtown St. Paul
(A site with so much potential),
Proceed to there, on the north side of the square
To five stone steps (please be careful).

The treasure awaits just four steps down,
No special tools required.
Just look under clover and soon you’ll be over-
Joyed with what you’ve found!
