What are the prizes??
Interesting distribution methods.. Well shoot I'll hunt for this one, why not?
Sounds a bit more organized than some hunts
the value of the Golden Rose prize doubles with a registered 2004 Rosefest button.
Doubles yes, but most of the prizes are gift certificates :P If I find it, I'd tell em to keep the stuff and I'll keep the medallion.
yea, the thing would probly be a collectors item if it was "never found"
clues available at locations? then the people who work there can call their friends ASAP. :( -do we know anyone who works at any of thos places :)?
so the first clue comes out in Central park? My guess was Central Park :)
Â
so anyone know where they hid it last year?
first hunt i believe
I'm gonna check out Central Park as a starting place anyways, after the first "don't hurt yourself or mangle property" clue is out.
all the vulkan krew were gathered up at the end of my cul-de-sac and had to party with them!!
Way cool Diggin'
Anyone can call me at work and I'll post it if anyone is going to get the clue.
I'll drop by Central Park tomorrow, that is if I can find parking :P I've been down there twice for CAG's "The Osier Split" and both times I left to a very full parking lot.
Hey Diggin, did you finally get that one? Maybe a double reason for you to go there tomorrow, Medallion Hunt and get a geocache.
oh darn-I got my days mixed up and I thought there would be 2 clues out by now---whoops. I was ready to noodle ;p
I'm not sure where the oasis is... But I'm game for meeting up. Could even give ya a hint on Osier split if you'd like.
Any word on a clue yet?
clues will be released daily beginning Tuesday, June 29 at 6:30at the Famous Dave's BBQ & Blues Concert at Central Park's Amphitheatre
any one going to post the clue here?
Might be too busy, I'll be at the park.
With any luck, the medallion will be hidden next to the Osier Split geocache, I already know of quite a few good hiding spots in THAT tree.
The coin says it is made of PEWTER...will a metal detector pick that up?
Â
I can't go- I am taking the girls to my nieces soccor game at 6 :(
but you have FUN! BBQ sounds really good.
Â
Sounds good by me, I'll see ya there at 6:15.
The coin says it is made of PEWTER...will a metal detector pick that up?
Yes... unfortunately for me I don't have one. With any luck, they'll hide under an iron statue then :D
they'll hide under an iron statue then :D
Â
well then thats a great place to look in any park!
Â
and as for staying away from activites...that is what we all thought when they put it in COMO! nah, they wont put it where everyone is gonna be! so don't rule out Central-just plan on it being hid extremely well there!
Ahh, I was just at Acorn this morning getting Buzzygirl's newly placed cache.
So that's what that golden rose coin was there for... And I thought it was just decoration ;) Just kidding of course.
You might be onto something Diggin, but then again, who knows? Central will just be a nice place to start. I like Evergreen too, it was the first park I searched at the start of the WC Med Hunt this year.
I certainly hope the photo isn't a spoiler.... Like the location, just a grassy patch of land.
Is the Oasis someplace I am allowed into???
If so, I am game
Sounded like a bar or something, just didn't want to drive out there for nothing.
nah I'll be fine at a gas station... as long as it isn't right next to a police station or something ;)
See ya two at 6:15 then!!!!
Is Beckster comin'????
The police station IS right across the street!! FOR REAL! (haha)
Ok have fun you two!!!! Maybe I'll see ya some other time :) I got too many priors, one more little problem and I'm in the slammer for good!!!
hehehehe jk
I love Roseville... I hope they put on a good hunt!!!!
IM's sent KC & Diggin'
Bahstad!
at least i'm not alone tonight...i'm at work as well....
Well don't fret too much Kitch, I just received a call from Diggin4it out at the BBQ party in Central Park, and she says that they can't find anyone with info about the clue. I guess it isn't posted anywhere either. KC & Reg are out there with her and her husband and the baby they're watching.  It sounded like getting the baby ready reminded her of the "good ol days" in that you just can't get up and run when you want to. :-)Â
I take it you work evenings too. At least we'll be able to get the 10am clues, but it might be tough to get the 3pm clues. We can support the field from here for those later clues anyway. If one sounds pretty good, I can always duck out early if need be too, but that wouldn't be until after 9:00 anyway. :-(
Curious participants now begin,
The City limits the Golden Rose is within.
Follow the rules, search high and low,
On Roseville park land it's sure to show.
I only work one nite a week....
Why would City be capitalized? Is there a park that has a water tank in it?
How about a boarder park like Valley, Ladyslipper or Acorn? A park with hills but located on the actual ground?
Or using the city's name? Rosebrook, Villa?
http://www.ci.roseville.mn.us/parks/ParksandShelters/parks/parkmap.htm
CM has spoken!!!!
run to those parks....run!!!!!
;-)Â You're just sad that you're stuck at work like I am K.
Although that map is an awesome hunting tool with all the photo's and info, it's still 4 years old so there might be more recent parks that are missing. Can someone post an updated map if you find one?
What's with the Â
Select/Deselect All   Delete Selected   Move SelectedÂ
options at the bottom of the screen here? I thought those options were for the thread creator only.
I made you a host.
Danka Geodude
50 joe.... what can i do as a host???
Â
Lookin' for love, in all the wrong places ...
what can i do as a host???
Serve refreshments?
-see your post above. ;-)
-see your post above. ;-)
Hah !
COOLER!!!
I see nothing but trouble....
I didn't do it either.
Ian?
Funny crack comment too. I guess I deserved that. ;-)
Can others see my cut-n-paste of the Select/Deselect in post #47? Can they use it?
Hey all. Back from the evening's festivities. Diggin, Regman, and myself talked to the actual clue writer for this hunt. She had a folder with all the clues in it!!!!!!!!!
It took great self control not to rip the folder from her hands, I'm quite impressed with the group. Diggin tried drillin her for more info, but alas none came up. We're in the same boat as everybody, but at least we got to meet the cluewriter!
Oh and the Medallion is most likely not at Evergreen park, Reg and I checked it out tonight. One park off the list.
