2014 Glenwood Waterama Medallion Hunt

It is my pleasure to again say Welcome to the fifty-ninth annual Glenwood Waterama Week,
Back for yet another year, filled with fun for one and all, and here is just a peek:
There are all kinds of fireworks, tournaments, dances, parades, and a top -- notch musical play
With professional direction and a fresh young cast, Showstopper's is back I'm happy to say!

There are all kinds of activities from which to choose, besides the above mentioned few
A family-friendly and diverse schedule of events planned, just for the likes of you!
Whether you are visiting for a day or two, or you are a local who can take in it all,
Invite your friends and neighbors to come along for the ride, and everyone have a ball!

You may recall last year's hiding spot (rink sign), which went right down to the wire
Cars came rushing in from all directions to the site like a response to a five-alarm fire;
So just a word to the wise, if such should be the case, once again this year
Keep tuned to KMGK 107 FM radio, as the final destination becomes even more clear.

"Oh the times they are a' changin", and are they ever in Glenwood this year - whew!
GRV, the hospital, hotel, and other construction, it's out with the old and in with the new!
Some well maintained landmarks have been added to the Natl. Registry of Historic Places
And sadly we've committed to our treasured memories, Lee Paulson and other smiling faces.

Besides the buildings in our town, the streets have been posted with signs everywhere
So be alert and cautious whether driving or walking as you're searching from here to there
And in a couple of years amidst the greenery planned, it's still take one heckuva lotta cement,
But we're eager to see the transformation unfold of the downtown MN Avenue development

Though it may sound "silly" check under the N windows of Glwd's former INdoor ice rink,
And it'd be a good idea to patronize the names displayed across the building's S side I think
As you know after "Pope County's Great Get--together" we say goodbye to this old shell;
Yes, so long ol' friend, in "dis great gettin' up mornin', FAIR Thee well, fare thee well"
