2014 New London Water Days Medallion Hunt

It's day one and the hunt is on,
To find me once again!
Should you succeed in doing so,
One hundred dollars you'll win!

Get up and search as in the past,
In the City on the Pond.
You'll come to love it as I do,
For this home I have grown quite fond!

There is blessing at each corner here,
With a perfect bird's eye view,
Of all the things I've come to love,
And all there is to do.

These clues will give you all you need,
The power to move ahead.
But you must listen carefully,
To all the things I've said.

I'm sorry I can't give you more,
Another clue is all you lack.
Leep your eyes on the prize, I declare warning
This one's gonna be tough to crack!

Rise and shine to those of you,
Who are committed to the hunt.
To find me in this place of hiding,
Keep all clues among the forefront.

Concentrate on all the words.
They could mean many things --
-- Oh my goodness I just heard,
The sound of loons and wings!!!!

Their songs are just delightful,
Music to the ears.
Like all the other people,
Who shared their talents over the years.

Last night there was much to do.
I heard singing, I saw boats.
I love this little perch of mine
Where I can watch them float.

Today I've had much company,
Filled with laughter and with smiles.
Just enough to carry me,
If even for just a Mile.

The time that's left to stake your claim,
Seems but just a sliver.
All is up to you my friends,
To see if you can deliver.

Gather here today to see
Just beyond the soiled ridge.
Leaving me her for the past few days,
Is water under the bridge.

My prayer is that you'll find soon.
I am well within your reach.
I will try to just sit still.
And practice what I preach.

So come find me, don't give up.
Despite the wish to grumble.
And like the man's whose tribute's here.
Remember to stay humble!

I can’t believe you haven’t found me!
I wish I had a voice.
I would scream so much aloud,
To notice me, you’d have no choice!!

So much excitement seemed to take place,
Yesterday in front of me,
I have but one small chance I feel,
That you would finally see!

They’ll gather here, near my home,
To sing a worship praise.
Just as they did in the still of the night,
When the sky was set ablaze.

You see, this is just the perfect home,
For me to sit and too take part,
Of all the things that happened here,
Since WaterDays’ great start!

I told you I am tucked away,
Sharp eyes are what you need.
If you just slow down and take some time,
You will find me indeed!!

I love the pillar of great strength,
That holds me safely here.
Apparently, so did others,
By the looks of nails so near!

I suppose it makes the perfect place,
To post a short term warning.
Or even to let others know,
Of a sale that starts in morning.

Either way it seems to me,
There’s lots of nails upon my space.
Look closer now, you just might find me,
Staring in your face!
