Just a few rules to start off the game
I’m on public land, as ever the same
I’m in city limits, of Houston of course
Given the weather, you may need a horse
Round and round and round we shall go
You may need to look high
You may need to look low
Where we stop only one knows
Especially now with 10’ of snow

Think of the merchants all around town
Think of the services up road and down
Eventually all will show you the way
Just be jubilaceous, happy and gay
Pass the B&B beeline and cross the south river
Pass the sawmill and mounts delivered by quiver

If your buggy is broke or its tank simply empty
Stop for a fix or a ration that’s tempty
In General keep going, take note of those gone
And those at the View just carryin’ on.

Let’s take a new tack, it really can’t hurt
Just click your heels and turn with a jerk
Banner-up for promotion like all winner guys
If flexible and crafty you’re on to the prize
Get schooled in passing, and stay up to snuff
But things take a turn where finance is bluff

With all gums a blazin’, is your insurance enough?
Look back on your trail, you’ll need the right stuff
Then there where despaired hair oft finds repair
You’ll have your best luck when you take steps with care
Think back to Tuesday, AM, I suggest
Where ideas you had had, were simply repressed
Where the trail went ice cold and you were left you balling
Now pick it back up ‘til you reach your calling
Here you have just two choices, right turn or ahead
The path chosen wrongly is what you must dread.
But don’t let that stop you, neither is wrong
Just the right spot is where you belong

At another checkpoint there are wild exhibitions
Or even a spot just for electricians
Take what’s left of your thoughts and apply them with care
If you get lucky you soon may be there
But perhaps you chose the other path
In that case you’ll find you’ve not made a gaff
For in this choice you will find some assurance
To bank on the options of food, drink or insurance

At this point you’ve possibly tried several ways
From east, west and south each on different days
You could be at a crossroads surveying the scene
Of houses of hardware or great coffee extreme
You could even get pumped, they say it’s a gas
Or go back to Zero, another place passed

Clue 8
Oops, wait a minute. We forgot one direction
Don’t forget north. This includes a big section.
You could score a Win with co-op-eration
So take note of its place in this search operation
Connie or Chris are guys great with the metal
You’ll come near their places before you have settled

Clue 9
There’s a past Cuban dictator’s name from afar
Just drop a “t” and substitute “r”
This place I suggest you stop for a break
A.k.a. Hein’s Office, make no mistake
Court is held here on the deck or inside
They provide service with greatest of pride
Enjoy a coffee, a pastry or tea
I’d certainly stop if you were me.

Clue 10
You’ve no doubt crisscrossed the whole town by this time
And no doubt you’re asking, “Lord, give me a sign!”
Actually now you are very close
Check the first and last clues for the sense that means most
Johnny Cash sang a song of “I Walk the Line.”
The last line from its parody is your last rhyme.
