There are still tickets available to one of our favorite Winter Carnival events — the Fancy Hotdish competition this Sunday, Jan. 19, at The Lexington.

You, the guest, have the best job of all, which is tasting hotdish creations made by chefs from some really great restaurants — The Lexington, Iron Ranger, Tavern on Grand, Zamboni’s, Gray Duck Tavern, Public Kitchen + Bar, Herbie’s on the Park, In Bloom and more.

Pioneer Press Eat writers Jess Fleming and Nancy Ngo will be on the formal judging panel, which will decide the winner.

Tickets, which are $50, include unlimited sampling of hotdish and samples of drinks from sponsor Maker’s Mark, including an old-fashioned, a Manhattan, neat or on the rocks. They are available at wintercarnival.com/2020-fancy-hotdish-competition-admission/.

Join us for a very Minnesotan way to celebrate winter!
