Sheldon came a courtin' in the year Thirty Two
For Marvels and Maisies and Mabels its true.

A barn dance it started, by the side of a lake,
Young Shelly wondered, why his heart ached.

It wasn't from illness, he was quite sure,
Something had struck him, but not in the rear.

What was this thing and from whom was it sent?
From a quiver it came, for his heart it was meant.
The official meaning of the clue.
Lake is the key word here

EIleen was her name and the arrow a note.
She passed it to him and here's what she wrote:

"Sheldon, with love, you are the one."
He read it and stumbled and went on a run.

Halfway around the side of the lake.
On a dock he had stopped, for a short break.

He then slammed a brew, for his thirst he would quench.
When he noticed, again, he lost his old wrench!
The official meaning of the clue.
EIleen Street is a neighborhood street on the other side of Round Lake Park from the wrench, which was near a dock on Round Lake.

Shot down by a cupid and missing a wrench,
Was a problem to solve he was working against.

He'd figure t out his constitution was strong.
Just ask his sweetheart to help him along.

"Dear sugar, my loved one, you're not a bore.
Please find my wrench and I'll love you more."

So the note was sent for some selfish reasons.
In love, missing wrench and now liaisons.
The official meaning of the clue.
Constitution Street is the address of the park.

Eileen saw him run when he split the dance.
She watched then giggled and then peed her pants.

He flew past umbrellas and then a warming house.
On a brown metal sign he then ripped his blouse.

That she remembered, of that she was sure.
For the love in her heart for Shelly was pure.

So she went on a thinking a smiling and gay.
Her view of the valley was excellent that day.

Do Not Run so fast my wrench searching friend.
Just walk very calmly down the path and the bend.

I'll find the tool, I love you, I do.
Walk toward the dock and find us both, too.

Sheldon felt her thoughts that winter day.
So he walked toward the slope with his dismay.

Without so much hurry, trying not to race.
Toward the lake he walked with surprise on his face.
The official meaning of the clue.
The DNR was a hint toward the DNR sign very near the wrench. Otherwise walking toward the slope and lake were key here.
