2021 Lakefield Summerfest Medallion Hunt

The people come from the North and the South
They also come from the East and the West
So begins the hunt for the Lakefield Medallion
To kick off the start of the 2021 Summerfest

It's time to look high and low
where friends gather with friends they know
Most gatherings start before noon
but can be whenever they choose

The young and the old - they all came
But with Covid pandemic - nothing is the same
We now share our friendship from afar
Showing our concern sometimes from our car

Birthdays, family and special dates
the use of these do not discriminate
The flowers are beautiful - an array of color
they are set for mothers, fathers, sisters and brothers

The flag flies high for all to see
It is shaded by a beautiful tree
Most who come will wear their "Sunday best"
The place to look is where we will have our final rest!
