2023 Wahkon Hunt for the Lucky Lure

As we Ride the WAVE into Wahkon Days, Twenty Twenty-three
We’d like to apologize for last years hunt, the Wrath of the Bee!
Some hunters may think that the hijinks were intentional,
But rest assured it was one thousand percent accidental.
And on his good name, the lucky lure hider doeth swear,
He had no idea that that hive was in there!
This year while searching, you can chill, as you hang ten
Knowing this years clues were written with an Epi-pen.

I am the Lucky Lure, and although I may be off the tar,
I am also oh so close to your favorite local bar.
I could be up high, or may be tucked in low
Hint: I won’t be found in what you mow.

Distant in view is o’ lone sentry,
An ancient one stands guard above all.
Closer in view, a co’dominant variety,
The young ones answer the searchers’ call.

Wahkon plays host to the Royal Monarchy,
its an annual tradition.
Steeped in ceremony, released in memory,
it’s a moving reposition.
Wrapped in the realm of wispy seeds that soar
To find me, alone, you must set out to explore.

To be the finder, you’ll have to be a good sleuth.
