Clue 1

After last year's excitement, I'm taking a break.
I've chosen a place that's more peaceful, just for sanity's sake.

I could have chosen a castle so high, but I've decided on a lower place to lie.

Our Thoughts

Excludes Huset Park, the center of festivities for Jamboree Days, as well as Hilltop Park.

I could have chosen a far off land, but staying close to home was the plan.
I just didn't have the Hart, to a far off land depart.

Our Thoughts

Excludes Hart Lake.

I decided not to go the route of 2nd, for somewhere else my heart truly beckoned.
I give you my pledge; I choose not to be on Edge.

Our Thoughts

Excludes the parks along 2nd Avenue, as well as Edgemoor Park.

I had no desire to run in circles or have my peace disturbed by a clanging bell.
It's all about me, that much I will tell.

Our Thoughts

Excludes Circle Park, and Prestemon Park with its proximity to the railroad crossings at Stinson and 37th.

I chose not to go by the court, which is my only retort.
I would've gone 1500 but lady luck isn't on my side, so for now I'll just abide.

Our Thoughts

Not going by the court indicates to stay away from basketball/volleyball/tennis courts, the park named Wargo Court, and for most hunters Kordiak because of the presence of the courthouse entrance stone from the original Anoka County Courthouse. Bad clue writer.

1500 excludes Ostrander Park, whose address is 1500.

Staying somewhere Central would've been fine, the thought of going out west truly divine, but too much thinking is hurting my mind.

Our Thoughts

Excludes everything west of Central avenue.

As I lay in wait, I have a true protector by my side, even if only in memory he does reside.

Our Thoughts

Ramsdell Park, a block or so away from Kordiak Park, was formerly known as Mathaire Park, until renamed in 1977 to Curt Ramsdell park, after a Columbia Heights police officer killed in the line of duty, a true protector residing only in memory.

For the true bounty, expand your search to the county.

Our Thoughts

Indicates to hunters that they should be looking at Kordiak Park, one of the Anoka County parks, instead of a city park.
