Klondike Kates hosting 'Naughty' party

Submitted by Administrator on

Where else are you going to hear “Lightnin’ in These Thunder Thighs”?

The season just got a little hotter thanks to the St. Paul Winter Carnival’s Royal Order of the Klondike Kates. The Kates will celebrate the release of their new CD, “Naughty-n-Nice,” at a party Thursday at Mancini’s Char House.

Recorded last month at the Artists Quarter, “Naughty-n-Nice” sells for $15 and features 15 songs, including the aforementioned “Lightnin’,” “I’m a Woman,” “I’m Bashful,” “Let There Be Peace on Earth” and “Dream a Little Dream.”

Also available at the party will be a limited number of autographed posters for $5 each, with all proceeds from the evening’s sales going to the Klondike Kate organization. The party is from 7 to 9 p.m., and there will be no admission charge. Mancini’s is at 531 W. Seventh St., St. Paul.

A new Klondike Kate will be crowned Jan. 7, just in time for the 123rd St. Paul Winter Carnival, running Jan. 22 to Feb. 1.
