The mittened squirrel was sweet, but the robot charmed the judges in Sunday’s snow-sculpture competition, part of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. Jon Baller, Joseph Hauwiller Jr. and Curt Cook shaped the robot; the squirrel was the work of Matt Bliss, Steve Robinson and Clare McDonough.
