Twin Cities artist Shane Anderson will be signing his Winter Carnival posters on Saturday in downtown St. Paul. Anderson’s “expressive cartoon” style features an assortment of characters from you might see around the city during the celebration. The artist says his introduction to the world of professional art started with the city’s Peanuts statues. He designed and created six statues during early 2000s, when the city featured decorated Snoopy, Charlie Brown and other characters on street corners and in front of businesses. Anderson also painted dinosaur statues for the Science Museum of Minnesota’s promotion in 2007. Signed posters will be available for $20 each.
