Even the Winter Carnival gets stopped by snow

Submitted by Joe Medallion (not verified) on

The St. Paul Winter Carnival has announced two schedule changes because of Tuesday’s predicted snow.

  • The Frozen Family Fun Night scheduled for tonight in Rice Park has been moved to 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Music, food trucks, ice skating, and appearances by Clifford the Big Red Dog, Nordy of the Minnesota Wild and the Minnesota RollerGirls will be featured.
  • The giant snow slide at the State Fairgrounds will be closed tonight. The attraction is part of the carnival’s Snow Park, which also includes the snow sculptures. Normal operations will return Wednesday and continue through Saturday.
