Prince-inspired flash mob wows St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Palace crowd

Submitted by Administrator on

People were enjoying a nice, snowy Winter Carnival afternoon in Rice Park on Saturday when chants of “USA! USA!” broke out.

But it wasn’t a sports rally or a political demonstration. It was the beginning of a flash mob.

Dozens of people in purple bomber hats danced to Prince’s “Let’s Go Crazy” as spectators watched and recorded the scene on their smartphones. The group was organized by Medtronic employee Jenny Wood and rehearsed the routine with the help of choreographer Katie Ressie, according to Bill Hermann, who also helped organize and provided this video.
