• Clues and other communications will be posted beginning at 9 a.m. on Apple Valley Parks & Recreation's Facebook Page (This page).
• The medallion will be hidden outdoors in one of Apple Valley’s 53 parks.
• If you’d like to pick up an “old fashioned” large, paper map of Apple Valley, please stop by the front desk inside the Apple Valley Community Center.
• The medallion may be hidden under or in something, but you will not need shovels or tools. It will be accessible by hand.
• In order to protect the medallion, it may be contained within a see-through, zip-lock bag. It will be highly visible.
• Is it a medallion? Is it a "45" record? It's both! This year's medallion went retro and is an actual 45 - Record (If you don't know what a "45" is, please consult someone over the age of 50. Attempt at humor!
• If you find the medallion, please call to verify your find, and text a photo of it to Bill Bird at 952-683-0033. A post on Facebook will be made when the medallion is found.
• If the medallion is not found after 6-clues and by 2:30 p.m., the contest is over, and the location will be revealed. This is exceptionally rare and has only occurred once in the past 25 years due to heavy snowfall.
• The answers to the clues will be posted on Facebook after Mid-Winter Fest is over (February 2).
• Please do not stray onto private property while hunting for the medallion.
• Drive safe and hunt safe!
Clue Posting Schedule:
First Clue: 9 a.m.
Second clue: 9:30am
Third clue: 10:30am
Fourth clue: 11:30am
Fifth clue: 12:30am
Sixth (and final) clue: 1:30pm
2:30 PM Deadline to find medallion.
