Up, Up, Up and Away
But where, oh where shall we go today
On public land, will go our band
To seek the prize, sans reprimand

It’s in the City, here for sure
And where, we’ll learn without demure
Some years buried, some years not
What year this is...we’ll plot the spot

Ever wonder who thinks these up?
A devious fiend, a playful pup?
Whoever you might think it be
Has a past that’s like a tree

The roots go down into the ground
The trunk shoots up to bear the crown
The crown expands with great enthrall
Each branch seeks wisdom, natural

So, center your search. It isn’t far
We can all find treasure where we are
What seems lost is at our feet
As exercise that oft repeats

Round and round and round we’d go
The cycle of life beneath the snow
With a basket full of joy
For every youngster, girl or boy

Follow the trail. Follow your heart
But if you don’t know just where to start
Start with the start. It’s as good as any.
Though choices there are very many

Ride on, o’ regal “Ship of State”
Though humble is your current fate
In times gone by, you gave such joy
You still bring smiles, as a toy.

As the wheels turn in your mind,
You very surely soon will find
That one is right. It has the prize.
Even right before your eyes.

Yet hidden at a spot unseen
Don’t shirk, don’t blanch, you might feel green
The seat of power is the spot
You’d want to be, more oft than not
