2022 Isanti Find it in the Parks Medallion Hunt

Rules

  • There will be 5 clues in all with the first clue being posted on Monday August 15th on the Isanti County Park’s Webpage.
  • New clues will be posted daily.
  • The medallion is hidden in an Isanti County Park. Parks are open to the public from 6am-10pm, please only search during open park hours.
  • Please, do NOT dig in the ground or climb trees. The medallion is hidden above ground and no higher than 5 feet.
  • Isanti County Parks reserves the right to discontinue the hunt at any time if public property is destroyed or people are searching on private property.
  • The winner will be awarded a prize package valued at approximately $1,000 (cash, gift cards, and prizes). If more than one person finds the medallion, the prize will be split among the winning group.
  • If you find the medallion, please take a photo and text Barry Wendorf (Parks Director) at 763-222-8587.
  • If you win, you must agree to be publicly named along with the possibility of your photo and name(s) on various local websites and a picture and write up for the paper.
  • The hunt is open to the public.

This is year number eight of the hunt,
To park you have to be near the front.

There is plenty of shade when walking this park,
Fires are dangerous here, not even a spark.

Lordy, Lordy look who’s forty,
To find me it might help to be a shorty

Red Pine, White Pine, and Jack Pine,
Planted by the Farmers Grange all in a line.

You have to walk around the gate,
Then keep on the trail going straight.

My home was once a trail to nowhere,
Only used by the occasional bear.

Make sure you take a right at the boardwalk,
If you listen carefully, you might hear wildlife talk.

Keep going on past the picnic table,
You will find me by the wood duck house if you are able
