Its time to be fancy like the treasure hunt rules &
Isle Days twenty twenty-two treasure hunt clues!
Tread only on public land, using hands not tools.
Seek to level up your thinking skills & I wood tie on my shoes!

The official meaning of the clue.

This clue reminds hunters of the general rules and tells you that you are looking for a tie made of wood, similar to the one used in the Isle Days theme, and that it will be above the normal level of the trail. Also, the first word "Its" and the first letters of lines 2-4 ITS refer to the Isle Truck Station.

Don’t be fancy like you’re Jean-Claude and be Van Dammed
Call 411 and ask the operator “can numbers be anagrammed?”
It might be kind of a stretch, perhaps a touch vague,
But believe it when we say – the treasure is in the bag

The official meaning of the clue.

The correct anagram of 411 was 114, which referes to the distance, or stretch, of the Soo Line Trail from Geneva to Superior - there is a sign that says that at every road entrance to the trail, and Superior St. is nearby that particular trail entrance. It also refers to the bag that the treasure was wrapped in.

A five centime piece will lead you to where
Be a fancy like tie hidden well in the lair!
Cross one at the start and the end of a 5k
Double back to one, an important clue we’d say.

The official meaning of the clue.

A five centime piece is a "Sou", and the thing you cross at the beginning and end of a 5k are the starting and finish "line". Double back to one refers you back to clue one and its double Its/ITS reference to the Isle Truck Station.

Yeah we be fancy like Isle Days on a date night
Got that Maple bourbon steak with the Oreo shake
Maybe not a lake view, don’t take no boat rides
Many leaves, one tree, that’s where treasure hides!

The official meaning of the clue.

We had to use the song! Maple Bourbon steak and Oreo shake loosely reference the nearby Smokin Mortars/former Dari Vi, while the streets Maple and Maben (Maybe not) narrowed the area of the Soo Line that you should be looking on. "Many leaves" covered the bag that the treasure was hidden in and while there are many trees in the area, you were looking for one specific tree that stuck out.

Park and walk, ride side by side, or take an atv drive,
now you’re there, the Soo Line trail, – high five!
Behind the Isle Truck Station, mailboxes in view, ITS right there,
Up the hill, off the deer path, under that fallen tree with fungi fare
Check the leaves, for a clump stuck to a bag on the ground,
When you spot it, unroll the bag and our fancy wood tie will be found!

The official meaning of the clue.

This clue pinpoints the location of the treasure - from and area on the Soo Line that is behind the Isle Truck Station, look up a short hill following a deer path, under a fallen tree that is covered with mushrooms, covered in leaves and wrapped in a brown paper bag.
