Isle Days is here and its going to get hot!
Ready to start our treasure hunt? Will you find the spot?
Here is what it takes, Isle be blunt:
There are 5 points to this treasure hunt
There are 5 names on our Walk Of Fame
Will it really take 5 clues to win our game?
The official meaning of the clue.

The treasure was a star (5 points), when you figure out the 5 names it really narrowed down the spot, but we weren't going to make it easy.... However, -- the basic location (water tower) is also cleverly hidden in the clue, if someone figured that out they could have potentially found the treasure fairly quickly.

It’s time to play matchmaker, to help the stars align
2 first names, 3 last names, which ones fit our design?
Match the Hollywood stars with their local connection.
Sounds easy, but some might take deeper detection.
The official meaning of the clue.

The idea was to look for names of famous people that correspond with something or someone around town. The two most obvious if you just look around would be Hardware "Hank"/Hank Williams Jr. and David Beckham/"Beckham's" Bar and Bistro -- both in clear view from the treasure site.

You’ll be famous in a small town when you find our hidden treasure
There are many ways to claim fame, some easier to measure
For our musicians its the #1 hits, for the athletes its about the wins
For our actress its ratings and awards, following the right one will move you towards
The official meaning of the clue.

The word "YOU" was written in gemstones on our treasure. This clue was designed to help work out who the five stars are -- 2 are musicians 2 are athletes and 1 actress. "Following the right one" indicates that one matches up with something that can be followed, like a road or a trail, in our case it is a road name.

Have you successfully found the places that surround?
If you’re thirsty for another clue, just ask around!
Follow the street of a hostess that has thinned
Until you find the answer, blowing in the wind
Look for a US Vet, a triple threat,
then take a second to show some respect.
The official meaning of the clue.

This clue tells you that the street you are looking for (Lake St.) shares a name with Actress/TV Hostess Ricki Lake, who, like Oprah, is also known to have lost weight. The last part refers to a veteran flag on the shed next to the old water tower lot, at a home belonging to Bob Peterson, former Isle teacher, Mayor, and Realtor (if you don't know Bob you could ask around) who shares a first name with famous Minnesotan musician Bob Dylan.

Still in the dark? Its not in a park,
and its not at city hall.
Its not in a garden, nor someone’s yard,
its nowhere you would fall.

Not far off Main you’ll find the spot
In a mixed use neighborhood
You’re looking for a plot with one red dot,
a place where a giant once stood

When you get there take measure
Its around 50 feet to our treasure
Wrapped in green, so as not be seen
When you turn it up, lets hear you scream!
The official meaning of the clue.

The plot with one red dot is the lot that the old water tower once stood. If you went to the red dot (the fire hydrant) and walked about 50 feet towards the trees at the back of the lot. There you would find the treasure, wrapped in a green cloth and sandwiched between pieces of moss -- our 5th name -- Local Doc Moss (also a former mayor and a vet) and star athlete Randy Moss.
