Submitted by Administrator on

THE MEDALLION HUNT BEGINS!

Yes, it’s that time of year already: Are you ready also? Let’s see; here are the rules – in Cluemeister’s usual doggerel – just as a refresher for all you eager treasure hunters.

Take your pick of public places

No gold coin’s on private land

Please don’t cause those angry faces

You’d see if on lawns you stand

You won’t need the shortest ladder

Nor a spade to dig in ground

Sure your kids will be the gladder

Not to watch – just stand around

Keep that family out of water

Hot or cold or trickling down

Tell your son and tell your daughter

Stay upon safe solid ground

Don’t stray too far from city limits

This gold disc is hidden near

Jordan’s bounds without dumb gimmicks

Can we get a big HEAR HEAR

The Medallion Hunt has begun!
Let’s lay the rules out in a run:
It hides upon the public ground,
On land that Jordan owns — check that sound.
No lawns that belong to someone new, Private property is off‑limits to you.
No gold coin’s buried under dirt,
No digging holes — this isn’t a flirt.
You won’t need spade or ladder tall,
Just keen eyes to spot the piece at all.
Keep all feet away from any stream,
No wet or trickling paths, keep it clean.
Dry, solid ground is where you’ll stand,
No lakes or rivers — so stay on land.
Jordan’s city limits – do obey,
No wandering off into lands astray.
Stay within the bounds of public land,
And follow the clues that have been planned.
Don’t sneak where “No Trespass” signs are wet,
Be respectful to all — the rules are set.
And parents with kids from old to small,
Can safely hunt without a fall!
Jordan’s Heimatfest is a two-day celebration taking place on Septebmer 5 & 6.

Perhaps it dwells near twisting streams,
Or echoes softly in children’s dreams.

A bench? A bridge? A woodland nook?
A spot you’ve passed but never looked.

Though water whispers near your path,
The rules prevent a soggy bath.

Seek not where water flows or pools,
But dry terrain, and sharper tools.

Where quiet names lie near the breeze,
And youthful chatter threads through trees,

A slope ascends from plain to view,
But which ascent is meant for you?
