2026 Perham Turtle Fest Medallion Hunt

Shelldon packed treats and a tiny guide,
Then slipped from the crowd with s shell full of pride.
He dodged all the places most hunters would race,
And followed he lakes at a wandering pace.
Not where teh first guesses usually start,
This hunt begins sideways, with mischief and heart,

Perham hums with turtles, trains, and trails,
With old roads, warm skies, and summer tales.
Shelldon moved west with a wiggle and grin,
Past where the town's tight edges grow thin.
Not by the beach or a fishing line,
But where open spaces start to shine.

From Little Pine whispers to Big Pine pride,
The lakes tell secrets if you walk their side.
Paul, Marion, and Rush may splash and shout,
But Shelldon took the quieter route out.
He didn't dive deep, and he didn't roam about,
He followed the breeze where the crowds thin out.

With a side-eye glance and a shell full of cheer,
Shelldon left Turtle Fest's noise in the rear.
Past familiar roads and places you know,
Where town starts to fade and the traffic runs slow.
Not toward the pines, not close to the shore,
He kept heading west, then west some more.

At last, Shelldon found west-of-town air,
Where wheels meet pavement and engines prepare.
No sneaking needed, no crossing a line,
Good hunters are patient, polite, and kind.
Near Perham's runway, the last hint has flown;
A hidden medallion waits to be known.
