It’s Time for the 5th Annual Cootie Medallion Hunt

COOTIE: AN EXCITING EDUCATIONAL GAME FOR ALL AGES (Invented right here in Robbinsdale!)

COOTIE MEDALLION HUNT: AN EXCITING ROBBINSDALE ADVENTURE FOR ALL AGES (And the winner gets a prize!)

Everyone is invited to join the fun!

To participate in the hunt, preregister on or before Wednesday, October 19. Then follow the daily clues October 19-23 to see where they lead you. Whoever finds the medallion first will win a $300.00 prize!

The Cootie medallion will be hidden in a park somewhere within the borders of Robbinsdale. See the rules and guidelines below for more info.

This year’s hunt coincides with MEA weekend, so families can hunt together. The entry fee is $5.00 for an individual / $5.00 for a family. Three ways to pay your entry fee:

  • Pay by PayPal or credit card using the yellow “Donate” button on our website.
  • Mail a check to Robbinsdale Historical Society, 4915 42nd Ave N, Robbinsdale, MN 55422.
  • Pay in person (cash or check) at the Historical Museum, open Fridays & Saturdays from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

2021 Robbinsdale Cootie

Guidelines and Rules for the Hunt:

  1. You must be preregistered with your $5.00 entry fee in order to participate and win. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian’s permission to participate.
  2. The Cootie medallion will be hidden in a park within the borders of Robbinsdale. It will be enclosed in an envelope or other container bearing the name and logo of a Robbinsdale business.
  3. No digging with a shovel, climbing, or disassembly will be necessary.
  4. Searchers must not deface public property or otherwise violate laws. Searchers assume all risk for personal injury. Searchers must observe posted park hours.
  5. Taxes due, if any, are the responsibility of the winner.
  6. Members of the Robbinsdale Historical Society board are disallowed from the search. Contacting a board member during the hunt for hints, additional clues, etc., will result in disqualification. Following the clue writer is not allowed and will result in disqualification.
  7. If the medallion is not found by 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 23, 2022 the hunt will terminate.
  8. If you find the medallion, immediately send a text to 612-720-7423 (or call and leave a message).You will be promptly contacted. Proceed to the Robbinsdale Historical Society Museum, 4915 42nd Ave N, in Robbinsdale. A Historical Society board member will meet you there to award the prize.
  9. The decisions of the Robbinsdale Historical Society Board are final.
