The city you have scanned, has brought you to this land,
For it’s all been planned in the search your reward grand.

The official meaning of the clue.

You will need your boots as the hiding spot requires a walk on the Minnesota River Greenway Trail. The ax is hidden near Kaposia Landing, but not quite in the park.

Have no fear of frostbite as you venture on a lark
No need of the reminder, no hunting after dark
Not wise to keep the car running while you waste time in park
We promise our clues will be no worse than our rumbling bark

The official meaning of the clue.

Obey park hours, but the ax is not hidden within the park, so do not waste your time looking around there. "Bite" and "bark" reference the nearby dog park.

Already halfway there, but it feels as though we are winding
Make a couple of stops if you feel your stomach in knots
Grab tissue in great earnest to wipe away the snots
Further up you go should reduce doubt of masterminding

The official meaning of the clue.

Trail sign indicates a winding path is ahead as well as two stop signs for bicyclists and pedestrians. Once you cross the bridge to the North, you will see graffiti on shipping containers that state "Knot" and "Snot." "Reduce" is an indicator to go closer to the recycling center on the path that leads up North out of the park.

Twice we have tried and urged you to go further home
Run quickly around in celebration when spotted ye old chrome
Left and beyond will help you cross the Rubicon
For in these woods is where the two of you belon

The official meaning of the clue.

Twice" and "two" reference ballpark #2. Imagine you hit a homerun to left field—you need to go into the woods far beyond that across the railroad by taking the bridge. If you see the old rusted-out automobile, you are in the general area of the hiding spot. Crossing the Rubicon means you will need to cross the bridge.

Landing here is only half the battle
You’re going to need to take a stroll
Don’t be a baby and tune out the rattle
Bring moolah to pay your toll
Stumped? You should be pumped!
We have an ax to grind with coal.

The official meaning of the clue.

You need to start your hunt at Kaposia Landing, but you’ll need to take a lengthy walk across the railroad bridge (rattle and toll). The ax is hidden near a few stumps on the ground left of the path.

Clue 6

Start your search near the ballfields on the Piram Trail
Head north over the bridge out of park to write a winning tale
Stay looking on the left—if you’ve reached the rusted car, too far.
There’s an open space with a few stumps, we swear,
It should not be too hard from there.
Find your ax on the ground, give a burly shout.
You’re the victor of this hunt, to everyone you shall tout.

The official meaning of the clue.

The medallion is hidden on public land just off the Robert Piram Trail. Take the trail across the bridge, and if you see the old rusted car on the left, you will need to backtrack a bit. There is a wider open space with three tree stumps that are quite apparent. The ax medallion is hidden very near to the stumps.
