Let it rip, make the ball zip
While bowling at Concord Lanes
Oh no, we hear moans and groans;
The splits keep giving them pains.

The official meaning of the clue.

A shout out to our final sponsor, Concord Lanes! "Moans and groans" are also usually accompanied by "sighs", as in Seidl's Lake Park.

Went to a game and in the fourth frame,
The pitcher made quite the throw!
The team had got walloped, a dose of misery dolloped,
Home to their den they did go

The official meaning of the clue.

This clue is all about word play. "The throw" sounds like Thoreau. His most famous work, "Walden" (wallowed/den), take splace in nature near a quiet pond. Although officially known as Seidl's Lake, it is colloquially referred to as Seidl's "Pond" by those who live in the area. Bonus: "Fourth Frame" alludes to the park being near 4th Street.

Although not much is here, have no fear
You can still enjoy its natural beauty.
Need to get clean? We know what you mean;
Bathing will lead you to the booty.

The official meaning of the clue.

Although the park does not contain a playground or a ballfield, it contains a natural beauty that can be explored on its trails; Near the treasure site is a sign that explains how the water entering Seidl's Lake gets clean, AKA, takes a rain bath!

Don't jump in, you will not win
Of its depth, we are unsure.
A park that is shared, yes we so dared,
Is the location that you should tour.

The official meaning of the clue.

"Jump in" and "depth" allude to the lake - which we advise staying away from. The park is shared by the cities of South St. Paul and Inver Grove Heights.

Clue 5

A sigh I did make, on a trail by a lake,
I stopped to learn how to bathe.
From the sign I turned right, looked towards a treasured site:
Six paces into the woods under an X to fit the lathe.

The official meaning of the clue.

Go to Seidl's Lake Park and start walking the trail by 4th Street. As you take the trail it will lead you to the water bath sign. If you are looking at the sign and turn right, you will notice some woods. Walking towards the woods and then entering around six paces in, you will see an X formed by tree branches hanging over the medallion's resting place. Underneath some leaves and brush is the prize!
