The Hunt is back on and summer is here,

In cow town you’ll look for a medallion to find,
search all the parks noodle hard with your mind.

Don’t dig under ground nor look to high,
if you find this treasure go enjoy some Angelo’s pie!
The official meaning of the clue.
Welcome back to the 2023 Trail Walk Treasure Hunt, we encourage people to get out with friends, family, and kids to search in our parks to find the medallion. The medallion is very well hidden and you will need to have a good eye to realize its location. We also give a nod to our sponsor, Angelo's Pizza for this hunt!

Thirty, thirty nine, and ninety three,
Don’t think too hard in time you will see.

A super big hint but please don’t try,
What once was wet is definitely dry.

If you're tired of looking grill up some food,
Please keep our parks clean don’t be rude!
The official meaning of the clue.

Thirty, thirty nine, and ninety three are all years ("in time") that have significance to Lorraine Park. The parks origin is 1930, McLaine pool was built in 1939, and the slash pool was built in 1993.

We also give a hint to McLaine pool if you couldn't figure out the years, by telling you "what was oncewet is definitely dry". The pool was filled in with dirt and is now a grassy area.

Clue 3

Spikes, sets, and serves won't bring you joy,
The rhymes in the lines surely are coy.

A little luck of the Irish will help on your route,
it's summer time so boot hocky is out.

Don't sink of swim to the words that I wrote,
Deceiving to the eye greenery keeps our medallion afloat.

The official meaning of the clue.

We allude to all the sports areas of Lorraine and tell you it's not in those areas. Volley ball pit, hockey rink, and McGuire Field which is home to the Stockmans "Irish" baseball team!

"Don't sink or swim" tells hunters it's not next to the pool area, so you should have the entire west side of the park ruled out. The medallion is hidden very deceivingly inside a child's swimming arm floaty that has grean leaves glued to it to blend into its hiding spot.

Clue 4

Your feet must be tired don't get off course,
Hidden next to eight shoes of a horse.

Choose the pits that face east and west,
The second set from north will be the best.

13 paces east to the bushes from the back of the pit,
at the base awaits a leafy treasyre so go on now git!

The official meaning of the clue.

The final clue leads you to the medallion's exact location, in the south east corner of the park you will find 8 horseshoe pits. 4 of them face north and south, four of them face east and west. Go to the 4 that face east and west and go to the second set from the north. Go to the back stop of that set and pace 13 steps to the bushes, and at the inner base of the bushes the medallion sits inside the floaty covered in leaves to blend it in with the bush!
