2015 Coon Rapids Snowflake Days Hunt

In by the fire or next to the stove, 
Planning your quest and where you will rove;
It is our Snowflake Days celebration, no time for rest,
Pick up your button and start on your quest.

Marquis Ted is the ambassador for Snowflake Days this season,
Make sure you say high and tug on his cape within reason;
If you are frustrated and puzzled at where your treasure hunt goes, 
It won’t help to quiz, on city property is all that he knows

The snowflake medallion is the goal of your search, 
A round 5” object, it may be buried or perched; 
It is out on the trail far away from the Town,
Much closer to hill and dale the prize can found.

The sky may be gloomy, the wind raw and cold,
To come out the winner you need to be bold;
The development is not known by park or terrace by most,
But rather by vertical strength is the post.

They come travel all directions for the thrill of the quest,
From the north and the south, the east to the west;
To Coon Rapids they travel to try to decipher the code, 
Longtimers might help, “ follow the yellow brick road”.

We all are a part of the physical universe I guess,
In this case, too old or too young a bit less;
The periodic rumor that it’s been found is often a fable,
Some argue its’ existence if you look at this table.

As you end your days search don’t let your dreams fade,

Feathered friends tend to gather within range of your feet,
Birds of prey are included if it matters in the least;

Don’t let the search make you frightened or nervous,

Looking for gem could take you hour upon hour,
But know that you are close when in view of the tower; 
A short walk from the area runs uneven water were told,

We suggest mittens and boots for your hands and your feet.
There should be plenty of snow or you may see concrete;
