6am Clue

Search for our mark in a Saint Paul park that's known all over town;
Within your ken, in a forest fen, you'll find the home of Brown.
Follow our clues to traffic the booze—the liquid prize you seek—
Before the leaves all fall from the trees and strand you up the creek.

Since its purgation by conflagration, the spot has been repurposed—
To settle the case, just cut to the chase from a parking lot resurfaced.
Mosey around and search on the ground for a quartet of tasty brews;
Need some hints? Just follow the prints! What have you got to lose?
The official meaning of the clue.
"known all over," "home of Brown," "traffic the booze," "purgation by conflagration," "settle," and "Sintomonee" (SINce + TO + MOsey + NEEd) are all meant to suggest Hidden Falls Regional Park. Source: The Street Where You Live by Donald Empson.
"traffic the booze" is also a reference to this hunts "liquid prize" of six beers, hidden near the trophy.
"ken" is a shoutout to Ken "Diggorius Rex" Ng—our gracious host for the D&D Halloween Hunt—and a reference to Kenneth Street, situated to the east of the trophy's hiding place.
"forest fen" is meant to suggest searching a frequently flooded, marshy area in the Hidden Falls woods.
"Before" is meant to suggest Prior Avenue, which runs into Hidden Falls Park at is (closed) southern gate.
"fall" could be taken to suggest Hidden Falls.
"the spot has been repurposed" is meant to suggest that the area was turned into parkland after its "purgation by conflagration."
"parking lot resurfaced" is meant to suggest the Hidden Falls' oft-flooded parking lots; the flooding mandates frequent repaving.
"Just follow the prints!" is in reference to the 2007 Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt; Rob and Jake won that year in three clues by following the Cluewriter's footprints to the hiding spot. The trophy was hidden just north of that area, in the southern part of the park.
So, basically: Look in a well known Saint Paul park historically known for Joseph R. Brown's "Sintomonee" settlement—where liquor was illegally trafficked and settlers' structures were razed—at the base of a tree in a marshy area of the woods, away from the creek and south of a (frequently flooded) parking lot, near where Jake found the 2007 PiPress puck.

9am Clue

Reap the rewards of a hoppy harvest - kick off your quest with fresh words of an artist.
Undertake an epic Fall migration, though it’s so very hard to go, it’ll end in libation.
Bones make a modest soup that might leave you nauseous, best to start with one of your secret sauces.
Rest assured, there is no need to feel unmoored
All you need to do is stay down below and go with the flow.
The official meaning of the clue.
Hoping that folks got the brown/ Sintomonee reference to Hidden Falls park in clue #1, this clue aims to give direction within the park by giving a starting landmark, a direction of travel and features near the hiding spot (power towers & Red Oak tree). Full explanations below.

If your hands filled, or your beers spilled.
It's no time for a stumble, waiting in disguise so don't fumble.
May your mug be chilled.
They come from the land of ice and snow, and settled along the old man's flow.
If the gate has locks, find a place to park and walk a couple of blocks....

3pm Clue

A lord’s quest will give you a prosperous tell.
The second of three will ring a bell.
You now have the power to enter our trail of beers.
Giving forth to a quadrant of bubbles and cheers.

The steel to the north,
a king resides in the south,
the summit to the east,
and the rocks to the west.

Erik’s son should have taken his name.
Thorin’s shield ends our game.
Putting this together can end your quest.
Lead you to victory and our title belt!
The official meaning of the clue.
The lord's quest, ring, second of three= The Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. The treasure was directly between two power line towers.

Power=power lines above the trails

Trail of Beers=There were 6 beers hidden around and in the treasure spot

Quadrant of bubbles and cheers=the hidden beers formed the area to look for the prize

The steel to the north=Destihl Wild Sour (Jen's choice) was hidden north of our spot, also hidden on the steel power tower.

A king resides in the south=Pipeworks Lizard King (Matt's choice) was hidden south of the spot at a rest stop.

The Summit to the east=Summit EPA (Todd's choice) was hidden on the hill to the east of the spot.

The rocks to the west=Rolling Rock (Ed's choice) was hidden to the west in rocks along the river.

Erik's son should have taken his name= If Erik the Red's son Leif sported his name it would be Leif the Red.

Thorin's shield=Refers to Lord of the Rings character Thorin known as Thorin Oakenshield

Putting this together=Leif the Red and Oakenshield would hint at the Red Oak tree it was hidden by.

Lead you to victory=a Victoria was hidden with the prize
Title belt=The prize was a Grainbelt beer trophy inscribed with "The World's Greatest Treasure Hunter", a grainbelt Nordeast was also hidden with the prize.
