Faribault has 39 parks throughout the city.
A fact as sure as this is no ditty.

Alexander Faribault founded the community in 1852.
Fur trading was his work by the Cannon and Straight Rivers so blue.

During the Civil War years Faribault gained a reputation.
As an educational and religious center throughout the nation.

Some medallion seekers will go west and some will go east.
Others venture north and more south with no fear in the least.

Clue 3

Heritage Days began in 1983 and most years headquartered in Central Park.
If you head to the south side of town you will no longer be in the dark.

Nearly every letter of the alphabet is used in the name of a Faribault green space.
From Batchelder to Westwood and Bluebird to Windsor you have to pick up the pace.

Because you'll be heading downhill to where the medallion sits.
Take the Straight River Trail and you'll find it if you don't call it quits.

Clue 4

Not far from Prairie or 17th Street Southwest. Is the object of this modern-day conquest.
Just off the street sits a dispenser for waste. Next to the trail that ends in this park, you might want to make haste.
