2018 Farmington Dew Days Medallion Hunt

This year's Medallion Hunt will be created by Kyle Thompson and Cassi Brand.  Their names may sound familiar since they are two-time winners of previous medallion hunts!

Stay tuned for information on the theme of this year's hunt and get prepared for the clues!

The Medallion Hunt will once again be an exciting and fun event at the 2018 Farmington Dew Days© celebration.  Study up on the history and location of your local parks and recreation areas for a fighting chance at the prize.  The search makes a great family outing, so stay tuned for more information!

 

Rules

  • The medallion hunt will run from Tuesday, June 12 through Saturday, June 16
  • The Medallion will be hidden on public land within Farmington. It will not be on school district property or private property.
  • One clue will be posted online by 12:00 noon each day on this website and the dew days facebook page until the Medallion is found
  • Clues will also be posted at City Hall and the Rambling River Center shortly after noon.
  • There is no need to dig, damage or destroy property to find the medallion.
  • The prize for turning in the medallion is a $200 Check. You must have a Dew Days button. If you do not have a button they are usually available in the Lions tent downtown. 
  • If you find the “medallion” you should take a photo with the “medallion,” your Dew Days button, and the setting where the treasure was found and send it to Cassi Brand at cbrandwork@gmail.com or text at: 651-231-8873.

Metro Duct Cleaners are sponsoring $150.

The Dew Day Committee has added $50 to the prize for a total of $200!

This year were going back to the old way, Hunting for a medallion on a hot summer day.
Farmington parks are where you’ll look, either near or a pond or near or brook.
No need to climb or swim or dig, Try not to even break a twig.

This years treasure is gold and round, In one of the larger parks it will be found.
Jungle gym play is fun for all,See some deer or play b-ball
If its gold you would like to find, leave all of that behind.
Take a stroll while there's light. Look left look right, it won't be very bright.

In 2001 this park began named after a very well known man.
Here there are ponds and trails galore, Remember all the clues and you just might score. 
Acres of trees would not be a breeze so stay where you can walk with ease.
Look low not high there are no tricks, when you’re done don’t forget to check for ticks.

So you’ve had no luck and you’re in a Jam, Seek Mr. Bells park land.
Trees and ponds or parks and hoops try Paths and loops.
If you’re lost just find a map, I promise its not a trap.

Your journey should take you south of the park on the path you are here now look for some bark.
Face the sign and now face right look for a log it should be in sight.
At a hole in the center lies the gold you seek its at the edge of the woods so don’t be meek.
