Today begins the start of our City’s most anticipated week;
If you’re in need of cash and want to have some fun, it’s the medallion you shall seek.

If you like a challenge, step to it and get to Super America by nine.
Be sure to come with a festival button and you’ll be doing just fine.

Buttons can be purchased at SA, City Hall, or Parks & Public Works for 300 cents
Clues will be available for one day only once we commence.

There are no special tools needed, no digging or climbing to be done.
You’ll only need your knowledge of Champlin and a desire to have some fun!

Remember City land is the only place the medallion can be.
Exactly where that is, you’ll have to wait and see.

Our Father Hennepin Festival is rich with tradition; it’s also the start of summer vacation.
The children are fresh out of school and some are even facing graduation.

Summer in Minnesota means spending time outside enjoying the warmer weather and sun.
For some, their summer joy comes from playing at the park, and batting home the winning run.

Others may enjoy boating on their favorite lake.
Still others just like to relax and grill a good steak.

Some may enjoy the burn of a long bike ride,
While others love a good festival and all foods that are fried.

The official meaning of the clue.

As always, this year’s festival promises to be great!
No matter your interest, there are lots of opportunities to gather and recreate!

If you like to dance, come for the live music in the main tent.
Feeling lucky, maybe one of the bingo activities will be your favorite event.

Perhaps you’ll enjoy the melodic sounds from your favorite marching band.
Or maybe, you’ll enjoy some new events and activities we have planned.

The Diaper Dash, Princess Party and Duck Derby are all new to the line-up.
If Bags/Cornhole is your passion, take a look at the tournament sign-up.

The official meaning of the clue.

Your favorite marching band is a reference to Chandler hosting a pie eating event after the parade.
Duck Derby indicates the medallion was close to the derby finish line.

The weekend kicks off tonight at 6:30 pm with the festival parade.
You’ll want to choose your spot early if you hope to watch from the shade.

\Avoid the traffic; park at the plaza and take the shuttle bus to the festival site.
It’s so easy and convenient; it will really make your night.

On your way back you can watch the pie eating contest or enjoy a game on the midway.
You can even stop at the main tent and watch all the dance steps on display.

Still unsure of where I may be;
Return to SA today at three.

The official meaning of the clue.

The parade ends at Chandler Park; dance steps and three indicate the medallion was on the 3rd post from the bottom of a set of steps. Shade indicated the medallion was in a shaded area.

The medallion is still out there as we near the end of festival week,
Clearly its step-by-step instructions you’ll need to find what you seek.

Today the forecast is for scorching heat,
You may want to head to the water and dangle your feet.

Tomorrow is the very first Duck Derby Race,
Knowing where this event takes place; may help you in this medallion chase.

I’ll be inaccessible from 4 pm today until 8:00 am Sunday, so take a break from your hunt.
Tomorrow we’ll put an end to this silly stunt.

Scrambled Clue Text

Head to the water and dangle your feet was meant to get you to the stairs that lead to the river. The inaccessibility means that the hiding spot is inaccessible during the fireworks.
