2018 Father Hennepin Festival Medallion Hunt

The Father Hennepin Festival officially starts today.
You’ll need a festival button to obtain the clues if you’re going to play.

To get the daily clue, be at the Miller Road - Super America at 9:00 am each and every day.
Clues will only be available for one day before going away.

Finding the medallion this year may be a bit trickier with all the added road construction.
However, you won’t need any tools to find me, other than your keen sense of deduction.

I’ll warn you, it won’t be easy to find me
You may have to look high, low, perhaps under, on or in something, or maybe in a tree

City property is the only place the medallion will be hidden,
Searching on private property is strictly forbidden.

It is day two of this fun festival tradition
Clearly, you’ve made finding the medallion your mission.

Should you be smart enough to find it, the thrill of victory will be worth $500 smackers
This game of hide and seek is definitely not for slackers.

If you find the medallion, be sure to let us know right away

Construction this summer has us modifying the festival schedule and site.
Check the schedule for specific events, but we’ll still have fireworks that light up the night.

Schools are set to break for summer vacation this week.
If you’re still looking for things to keep your kids busy, give our Recreation brochure a peek.

For kids, we’ll be offering t-ball, basketball, playgrounds and soccer (amenities at Brittany) programs to name a few.
At Andrews, for adults, we’ll have softball and sand volleyball - which is brand new.

Seniors will find most of their activities at our Community Center on Gettysburg Avenue
Are you thinking to yourself, community center – who knew?

Oops, we found a printing error in the brochure regarding the location of the petting zoo.

I think despite the construction the festival will still be great.
Hopefully by next year all the construction will abate.
