At this point you’re probably not really close
You’ve been east and west chasing a ghost
You’ve looked to the south with little to gain
And that leaves what’s left, now focus your aim

The flows from our winter glide silent below

The melting waters dripping near

Stay on my side, don’t venture across
Keep sight of the trail or where kids are the boss
I really don’t want to dredge up the past
But it gives us a way to see where our die’s cast

It’s nice to arrive RIGHT ON THE DOT!
But this time it’s crucial for finding the spot
Here you must follow the straight and narrow

I’m really disappointed ‘cause I thought you would come through
But now I’m told you’re in the cold and haven’t got a clue
So let’s think back and choose the words that mean the very most
For if they’re put together, they’ll make a great signpost

Clue 12

First there was the Houston guard, somewhere in the north
Then we follow Grant, to the dike the Corps put forth
We continue toward the North Star to where the river flows
Don’t cross o’er but stand where you can best see down below

A magnet can repel another, yet loves steel, as I’ve been told
And the D.O.T. has done its best to keep us on the road
Four steel rails with two ends each, guide against zigzagin’
And to that end you’ll find joy and America will be great again
