2024 Houston International Festival of Owls Medallion Hunt

The rules, you know, are crystal clear
We stay on public land with cheer
The medallion’s spot is always near
Within the City, have no fear

So, think about this and think about that
Think about wearing your thinking cap
Whether it’s high or whether it’s low
Eliminate spots you need not go

I feel it’s not about me you know
But oh, how I like to fool you so
To tug at your minds, put a twinge in your toes
To play this grand game and bloody your nose

Enough of this now, let’s cut to the chase
I need you to find it, but I can’t lose face
Let’s start at the edges and move to the middle
Like City fathers who solved a big riddle

Focus your minds and burrow right down
But not so far as to be on the ground
Keep looking up with hope in your heart
That would be a great place to start

No need to tear the town apart
Be gentle, be kind, be very smart
The prize resides in open plain view
Depending upon the position of you

A small ladder might help or a pogo stick too
Be mighty careful whatever you do
But go with a most festive attitude too
A giraffe would help, but we don’t have a zoo
