Ahh …mid to late July when the fescue ground cover turns a brilliant yellow hue -
Not due to any seasonal change mind you, but from the sprucing up done by Dave and crew.
They do a remarkable job and as the curbs brighten, your enthusiasm grows as days draw near-
For all our community and beyond to once again celebrate Waterama, now in its 58th year.

Not to be outdone the county courthouse looks stately from its’ grand and brand new entrance
Hmm… could the medallion be hidden someplace there, amid that pomp, perchance?
But if you think in 2016 it will be hid along MN Ave midst the big redo with major plumbing,
Think again you eager searchers because you certainly have another guess or two coming!

Missing from the Waterama lineup for 2013, a favourite of mine and other play viewers
Will be the perennial performance of Showstoppers, a troupe of pretty good amateurs;
Though a well-deserved break will allow Curt, Mark, and Tim to do some golfin’ and fishin’,
They have assured us that “the show must go on”, after this summer’s intermission.

Bargains galore during Crazy Daze at craft shacks, used book sales, and sidewalk vendors;
Sand sculptures and yoga on the beach, and shiny, flowing chrome covered car fenders;
All kinds of fun competitions for all ages in most every imaginable activity and sport it seems
Will present challenges to weekend warriors on courts, diamonds, lake, and other fields of dreams.

Don’t forget the Bremness Gallery art exhibit, part of the ABHH centennial housewarming;
Built by a Soo engineer, a lifeline for our “3 legged stool” of manufacturing, tourism, and farming
There’s yet more art to be seen and appreciated in the gallery and halls at Central Square –
Check out the many improvements and changes at your alma mater, that have materialized there.

These past two consecutive years have been record setters for early/late ice out dates.
The weather for this Waterama week will be sunny and in the seventies, the weatherman states;
But I tell you this despite all the sporting events, there’ll be absolutely NO HOCKEY PLAYIN’
And if you don’t believe me, CHECK out the posted SIGN, that’s all… I’m just sayin’. REP
