Welcome to the 62nd annual Waterama week 2017 when all roads lead to Glenwood
We hope that you make the most of each ‘beautiful day, in our neighborhood’
Check out the daily schedule of events to satisfy your personal choices;
Locals were lucky 2 weeks ago to hear Songs of Hope’s, - “One World, Many Voices”.

Dozens of talented performers from a dozen countries for our entertainment menu
Delighted us all and were put up for the night at Central Square, our cultural venue.
In a couple weeks, we’ll be in the city park for a talented trio, the “Cheese Bots”
Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit and enjoy your favorite shady or sunny spots.

Speaking of shadowy events, don’t miss next month’s total solar eclipse;
A recurring, scientifically predictable phenomenon of intersecting orbital trips.
Whirled into existence by the Creator’s hand with mathematical precision;
Stand in awe as you witness all this, but take precaution to protect your vision!

By now most of you are quite familiar with this continuing game of obfuscation.
And all are welcome to play whether you’re lifelong residents or here on vacation.
As usual, I will offer no ‘alternative facts’?, but only simple truths called clues;
Though they may seem indivisible in discerning which ones you choose to use.

As our town & county turned the corner on 150 years, reports say both are growing
and evidenced by hospital, bank, business and housing expansions that are ongoing.
Perhaps the city limit boundaries through future annexation someday will
extend the medallion hunt area perimeters, further and further up the hill.

But speaking of downhill, this week the public was presented with a watershed event
offering solutions to halt destructive erosions with evidenced based precedent.
It is incumbent for all citizens to begin to work together as a matter of recourse
to restore and reclaim the accessibility and purity of this most basic life resource.

If you are searching in a group always allow freedom for a difference of opinion;
Then listen, but think for yourself, don’t surrender to become anyone else’s minion.
Taking a stand and speaking truth to power is not for the timid or faint;
So hold your ground in defending your post (lawfully), when lodging a complaint.

Enough then of the view from my window of the days of our lives passing parade
You may concur or refute or abstain as you will, from this rather tepid tirade
Just some of my perspectives with a sincere hope and a request for bipartisan effect
While maintaining respect and decorum, being critically polite vs politically correct.

In case the medallion is yet undiscovered…The itsy, bitsy spider went up the waterspout, down came the rain and washed the spider out, out came the sun and dried up all the rain and the itsy, bitsy spider went up the spout again – but not for much longer! Have a Happy Waterama! RP
