Come one and come all
It’s IGH Days so have a ball
Our treasure is hidden, get out and see
Follow simple instruction straight to the tee

Remember all of the rules from last year?
They are the same, it’s destruction we fear!
No need to dig or otherwise break
For if there is damage, we’ll award no cake

Some are large, while others are small
It’s the latter that will win it all
So as you begin to walk on the chosen trail
Don’t stray too far or you’re sure to fail

The official meaning of the clue.

The last line of the first verse is key, telling
you to “follow simple instruction straight to the
tee” which means to walk straight from the
arrow on the “SINGLE TRACK TRAIL STARTS
HERE” sign to where you can only see the letter t”ee”
on the water tower. This is where the medallion is
hidden.

The second verse is to simply remind hunters to be
careful not to damage any property.

The first two lines of the third verse make reference
to trees, and the medallion is hidden within a small branch
that is partially in the ground that may have been a
tree at one time. The last two lines make reference
to the trails within the park and that it is hidden
near the beginning of one of the trails.

Fiction can often be funner than fact
Take two names and begin to act
A city of sorts is where you should go
In order to find some Hope and Bo

Precious metals are the word of the day
It has often been stated using cliche
If you’re Georgian in spirit and just a sayer
Then tell them to stay on a wing and a prayer

The official meaning of the clue.

The first verse makes reference to the show “Days
of Our Lives” where characters including Hope and
Bo Brady live in a fictional city named “Salem”.

The second verse makes reference to the cliche
“There’s gold in them thar hills”, which was uttered
by M.F. Stephenson, who was the assayer of the
Dahlonega Mint in Georgia. The medallion was
hidden in Salem Hills Park.

You’re up money at the poker table
And you’re running super hot
You look down at your cards
And it’s a smaller pair you’ve got

Your opponent was a champion
At the tender age of eighteen
She won the inaugural European version
The best Norway has ever seen

The official meaning of the clue.

The first verse references the words “up”, “hot”
and “small pair”. These make references to
Asher Ave. and Upper 55th Street. The second
verse makes reference to poker player Annette
Obrestad, who won the inaugural World Series

Clue 4

You’re thinking vacation in a western state
It’s not the one with a Golden Gate
You’ve got it right with a port and some land
But the capital city gives you the upper hand

Taking the high road isn’t the way
You’re better off coming in hot
Get out of your car to look around
For you it should be a short trot

Not far from a place for babies
Or a place for toddlers too
Which direction should you take?
There’s one that’s sure to reward you

A president’s ideology
Is in this case an exaggeration
But the object at hand is important
To the IGH medallion nation

A vowel is sure to help you
From the treasure site you’ll see
It’s big and you just can’t miss it
As you look past all the trees

The official meaning of the clue.

The first verse makes reference to
the hiding spot being near Asher Avenue.
The second verse talks about the tree
nursery and the playground, both near the
treasure site. The third verse talks about
Roosevelt’s “Big Stick” ideology, and if
it is exaggerated it would be a small stick.
The medallion is hidden in a small stick.
The last verse tells you that from the treasure
site you can see an E on the water tower.

Clue 5

Salem Hills Park is the spot
Be safe but get there fast
Asher Avenue means you’re hot
And that you won’t get there last

Find the “Single Track Trail” sign
Then look at the direction of the arrow
It’s with this you must perfectly align
And pace as fast as a sparrow

Look for a small stick embedded in the ground
As to the number of paces it’s twenty
Remember the arrow, don’t roam around
It’s inside the stick that you’ll get plenty

The official meaning of the clue.

Pinpoints the exact location of the
medallion.
