Tends our hydration and what more it takes;
A pond, tower, faucet, spigot or puddle,
H2O of all sorts, through these you must muddle.

The official meaning of the clue.

One Royal William Joseph had the words with a clue,
Cast your memory back, you might know what to do;
Think it carmine, crimson, scarlet, or cherry,
Think of it solidly and short-ly, in parking be wary.

The official meaning of the clue.

Singer Billy Joe Royal sang Cherry Hill Park, which is to direct medallion hunters to Cherry Hill Lane. The song released in 1969, cast your memory back to remember it. Carmine, crimson, scarlet and cherry are all colors of red, referring to a fire hydrant which is red, solid, and short. Parking is not allowed next to fire hydrants, thus be wary of where you park.

Developed to the east until there’s no more direction,
Elegant environs were the predilection;
A low-density forest might give you a tip,
The drive could be where you make your flip.

The official meaning of the clue.

Gervais Woods is the elegant housing development on Cherry Hill Lane. A low-density forest is a woodland. A quick google search of “a low-density forest” turns up Wikipedia’s definition of “woodland”. Woodland Drive is the street the where the chosen fire hydrant is located, and the “drive” to “flip” onto from Cherry Hill Lane.

Clue 6

Without prognostication they do extinguish
Similarly yet differently, so do the English;
In order to help you make your selection
Let coupling of storz be a point of connection.

The official meaning of the clue.

Without any warning, fires arise and our firefighters extinguish them. They also extinguish fires in Britain, but their hydrants are generally not red, they are yellow.
A storz coupler is what is used to connect fire hoses to fire hydrants.
