2020 Medallion Militia Isanti Kickback Mini Hunt

Since the Isanti hunt we wrote bombed due to the medallion being hidden super easy by their parks and Rec. The Medallion Militia have decided to run a small 6 clue hunt for everyone. Clues will be at 5pm daily starting tomorrow. This is a mini mock hunt, this will not be an official Coldest Lost Treasure hunt.

Ways to play:

We have a prize package worth $75 and a keeper medallion for a registered finder. To spice it up a bit, you must be register $10 and you will win: whole prize package + pot + medallion + special keepsake item, non registered finder(s) will only win $25 and the medallion, the rest of the pot will roll over to the next hunt. Rules:
- Ramsey County Public Land
- The Medallion will not be buried or hidden above 5 feet off the ground.
- Stay off private land and golf courses.
- The medallion will not be hidden anywhere dangerous.
- Keep 6 feet from other hunters and please do not hunt if you feel sick.
- Clues will be posted on the Medallion Militia FB page
- hunt smart, use common sense.
- The medallion will not be hidden in any native wildflower or any garden.
- If you decide to physically search for the medallion you agree to a waiver of liability to the Medallion Militia and the Clue Writer for any lost or broken items or any injuries that you may encounter

The official meaning of the clue.
-Line 1 mentions our last hunt that failed, The city of Isanti’s annual medallion hunt that was hidden at Unity Park in Isanti MN.
-“Time for a redo” is a hint that we have redone the hunt and hide the Kickback medallion at Unity Park again, this time in Roseville.
-The whole second line is a quote from MacGyver, played by Richard Dean Anderson, he was raised in Roseville MN.
-“Stick together” is a reference to Unity Park.
-“follow your wish” is a reference to the a big wishbone playground equipment that pointed right at the medallion.
-“King” has a double meaning. It refers to the nearby Burger King, but also refers to the crown royal bag the medallion is tucked into.

This man was bummin -a long time comin,
He finally got a street to his name.
Not his first choice, but finally rejoiced.
But first the city underwent a change.
The official meaning of the clue.
-The whole clue refers to Larpenteur ave. Named after Auguste Larepenteur, referred to as one of the founding fathers of St. Paul. He once requested the city to name a street after him, he wanted the street that ran from Como Park to Phalen Park which is now known at Wheelock Parkway as this is where he made most his impact for the city. Years later he ended up getting the current day Larpenter Ave named after him.
-The final line refers to the former name of the current day Larpenteur Ave, Minneapolis Ave.
Larpenteur Ave is just south of Unity Park.

No bologna, this place is kids only!
A plethora of tracks will confirm the scene.

-In Unity Park and near the medallion is five blue dots on the ground by the playground slide.
- Fiery King and Icy Queen is a reference to the nearby Burger King and Dairy Queen.
-“kids only” is a reference to the playground equipment in Unity Park. There is a sign at the very top that say kids only.
-“A plethora of tracks” refers to more playground equipment, this one shows a multitude of animal tracks. These visual clues should let the hunter know they are in the correct park.

-“In the house” was a sitcom staring LL Cool J (staying cool), he played Marion James Hill in the sitcom. Marion street boarders Unity Park.
-“Happy days” was another sitcom that starred Marion Ross, she played Marion Cunningham (cunning). Marion street boarders Unity Park.
-East of Tamarack Park (tall pine) lies Unity Park, as does the apartment across the street named Sunny Place (sunny spot), and a Insurance company by the name of Quality Insurance (quality coverage).

Think about the money, if you sold the country,
All this extra green is a bit alarming.

-First two lines refer to Rice street (grain) near Unity Park.
-The third line refers to Pawn of America, which is very close to Unity Park and should put you at the north side of Unity Park where the medallion is hidden.
-Keyword “green” refers to how the medallion is hidden and what it’s in. It was hidden near a tree with bushes covering the area. It was also wrapped in green fabric to help it blend in.

You just might experience deja-vu.
The first hunt failed, the second hunt prevailed.
It all came together for this final clue.

No matter the size, it secured the prize,
This new park could fit right in your pocket.
Near a path of gravel - lies green to unravel,
Under close watch by the guardian Rocket,
The official meaning of the clue.
-“Smell the Roses” is a reference to Roseville.
-The first hunt was done at Unity Park in Isanti MN, this second Kickback hunt was hidden at Unity Park in Roseville. That’s why you might experience deja-vu.
-“All came together” is a play on the parks name, Unity Park.
-Unity Park is one of Roseville’s newest parks. It’s a very small park, sometimes referred to as a pocket park.
-The medallion was hidden just off a gravel trail.
-“Green to unravel” hints at the medallion concealer. It was wrapped in a green cloth.
-The medallion was hidden in a direct line with a fake raccoon that is part of the playground equipment. The raccoon is staring directly at the medallion. Rocket is a reference to Rocket the Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy.
