also from the silver screen,

You had 2 obvious choices, if you guessed Emelio Estevez you were correct, if you guessed Charlie you were only partly wrong as "Charlies" was the bar in the movie.

I will See about giving a hint to you,
maybe you have been an outsider too,
perhaps it will help if you correctly read this clue.

The official meaning of the clue.

The capital letter S should have stood out. S.E.Hinton is the novelist who wrote the book "That was then this is now" which is a sequel to "The Outsiders". South East From S.E. gives you the area of our search boundaries. Outsiders too mentions it being hidden on the outside border again.

I suppose I should say remember when,
this was that now is then,
Remix that as if you were Eminem,
and bring you closer to medallions den.

The official meaning of the clue.

Remember when= the 2 bars "Spankys" and "Viaduct Inn" as well as the original bridge and stairs no longer exist. If you scrambled correctly you got the movie "That was then this is now" which was filmed locally and had a famous scene under Earl street bridge. Eminem is a character in the movie "M&M", and also about the many 3M buildings that once surrounded this area.

She's your friend and knows who you are,
as you walk through her hills and drive in your car,
make the connection and from treasure you will not be far.

The official meaning of the clue.

The song "Under the bridge" lyrics gave you a feature you needed to see, a bridge. Hills in plural could have made you think of our cities nickname "City of 7 hills" medallion was under the Earl street bridge on 7th.

This place is not a park,
if this disturbs you please do not bark,
for Pete's sake there is no good place to park
just being a rascal on a lark,
does any of this hit the mark?

The official meaning of the clue.

It was too early to just say Spankys so I wrote this clue to make you think of Pete the dog from the Little Rascals. If you made the connection and knew that "Spankys was used in the movie "That was then this is now" as "Charlies" In the movie.

Clue #7 is that a clue?
What is red yellow green and spouts blue?
Now reach down and tie your shoe,
you can be a Joe Somebody too.

The official meaning of the clue.

A red, yellow, and green colored fire hydrant spouts blue which was inches away from the medallion. "Joe Somebody " starring Tim Allen was filmed at "Viaduct Inn" across the street from "Spankys". 7th Street was given clearer. Tying your shoes meant it was hidden ankle high.----
