2015 Roseville Rosefest Golden Rose Medallion Hunt

The summer season is at its peak,
It is time for my annual game of hide-and-seek,
I am not hiding in or on a park building or shelter,
Nor the arboretum, golf course,
or Harriet Alexander Nature Center,
But hidden well I am, so you better have a plan,
If you really want to find me this week.

Hey you! Are you looking for me?
I'm still hidden away snug and cozy,
I'm not at the park of the nut,
nor the one of the pine tree,
And' I'm certainly not in the king's house by the sea,
But where I am there is plenty to do,
So keep your focus,
don't let your imagination run away from you.

Still out there, no luck yet?
Keep searching, you know what persistence gets.
There are kids playing not too far away,
But nothing but peace and quiet where I lay.
You might hear a frog, or see a walking dog,
Or notice athletes while on your way.

Day four of the search and I'm still hiding out,
But don't fear it's too early to give up and pout.
My park is under the insect that makes great honey,
But above a lake, isn't that funny?
Once inside, get on your walking shoes,
They say fresh air and flowing water can cure anyone's blues.
