The parks are a popular place to be, some offer more nature to see.

If you head North, I’d say you’re getting cold, but this direction would be warmer I’m told.

Off the beaten path is the way to go. For this park begins with the letter D, and don’t forget to look by a tree.

On the walking trail by the river, if you cross a culvert then you know you are on the right path. Stay away from the river, the water will cause you to shiver. Nearby is a tree that seems to stand alone, big and tall and overall.

Look for the deer rubs on the edge of the walking path and you are certainly near. But it’s the evergreens nearby that should be of interest in your search today. As you arrive you will notice a tree that stands out here is not so alive. It’s not an ‘X’ that marks your spot, but a piece of bark will be your mark.

I'd say about forty paces from the deer rubs along the walking path towards the towering tree in Dellwood River Park will put your near. Around the dead trees you shall peek, but the base of an evergreen will provide you with the prize you seek.
