Just find which words are relevant each and every day.
Read everything over carefully like those who practice law,
Or you won't find the medallion until the spring thaw.

You may need to ask whether the shot was foul or fair,
Check beyond the fence as the disc is way out there.

The official meaning of the clue.

Beyond the outfield fence. Way out there

It was difficult to tell if the medallion was hidden in fair or foul territory beyond the fence because it was close to the imaginary line extended from a foul pole.
