2007 Vadnais Heights Heritage Days Medallion Hunt

For Vadnais Heights it's the big five-O.
A time to look back at what is old.
So to help with this historical celebration,
It's time to search for the award-winning medallion.

Use a computer or a GPS if you must.
But shovels and rakes are an unneeded bust.
The prize that you seek is on city land.

Just look for the buildings with a lovely tan.
Down the street from where people walk and play,
Where food, games and fun happen on sunny summer days.
If you don't study this grade is the road to make one frown.
The medallion lays in waiting just hoping to be found.
If all the clues you read like a book,
you know in what area in which to look.

Now go to the place where in winter the aqua is hard,
Walk in the direction where old Sol greets the morn.
Then make like the birds when in the fall they fly,
The medallion is waiting to catch your eye.

May a symbol of Irish luck look upon your quest
And the echo of bells long ago play in your head
Hope for nice weather, since bad storms cause ears to ring
