Here we go! Wait hold tight, now lets-a go!
We skipped 2020 but now we’re back!
With skill and luck, you’re bound to power up.
You can search lone wolf or bring the whole pack.

Lets continue the fun, here in 21,
Our annual hunt has underwent a change.
Full of ambition, we’ll follow tradition,
A new clue writer has taken the reigns.
The official meaning of the clue.
- “Here we go” and “Lets-a go!” Are phrases from Mario from Super Mario Bros. One of the items that allows Mario to “Power up” is a mushroom. The 2021 Heritage Days Medallion is attached to a mushroom held with modeling clay.
- Tradition is a direct synonym of Heritage. If you were to follow Heritage Drive in a straight line across Bridgewood park it crosses paths with the medallion.
- “Bring the whole pack” is a reference to the pack of goats called the Munch Bunch that are currently clearing underbrush on the west side of Bridgewood park. Also wolves are predators to goats.
- “Reigns” is used intentionally instead of reins. Reigns should get you thinking of kings and queens. In this case of Queen Elizabeth, Buckingham st is close by Bridgewood park and is the residence of Queen Elizabeth. Also there is a city in England called Woodbridge.

While out on your lark, frolicking in parks,
Inspect and take heed to our city logo.
Sun is risin' — on this old farm and island.
Private property remains a no-go.
The official meaning of the clue.
- The clue confirms that the Medallion is hidden in a park.
- “Frolicking” is a loose reference to the nearby playground.
- The Vadnais Heights city logo shows a sun and some pines. The “risin sun” is a hint to search the east side of town as the sun rises in the east. The logo also depicts a row of pines, as you drive into Bridgewood park you will pass by a screen of pines on each side of you. Evergreen Drive also boarders Bridgewood Park.
- “Old farm and island” is a reference to the old Lambert Lake island and farm that was near the area of Bridgewood park.
- As a warning be sure to stay off private property as neighbors backyards coincide with park land in this park.

A well off young man, once moved to this land.
He went from riches to tent — then poor health.
A big red barn….um, horses and a farm?
The area was drained — as was his wealth.
The official meaning of the clue.
- The whole clue is referring to Augustus Kirby Barnum. He moved to Vadnais Heights and purchased the surrounding land and island of Lambert Lake. His Island was known for his big red barn, horses, and farm. He decided to spend a good portion of his wealth to drain Lambert Lake. He never recovered financially and ended up living on his own island in a tent. Bridgewood Park is very close to the now drained Lambert Lake. To this day a portion of the parkland serves as runoff/drainage from nearby Lambert Pond.
- “Barn….um” is wordplay for Barnum.

Make this the year, you bury your fears,
Of biological transformations.
Bacteria and fungus, imposter among us!
This area underwent fermentation.
The official meaning of the clue.
- To find the medallion you will have to “bury your fears” of mushrooms. As the medallion is attached to a mushroom with modeling clay.
- “Fungus” and “imposter among us” refer to the altered mushroom that houses the medallion.
- “Biological transformations”, “Bacteria”, and “fermentation” all refer to the process of pickling something. Bridgewood’s tennis courts recently got turned into a Pickle ball court.

Straight through the land of contradiction.
If you comprehend, you’ll find it at the end.

The official meaning of the clue.
- Tradition is a direct synonym of heritage. Heritage Dr runs into Bridgewood Park. If you follow Heritage Dr in a straight line all the way through Bridgewood Park it will lead you to the medallion.
- “Land of contradiction” is referring to the fact that there are no bridges at Bridgewood Park hence it’s namesake.
- “You”ll find it at the end” has a double meaning. For one you will find the medallion at the end of the Heritage Dr alignment through the park. For two you will also find the medallion near the end of the paved path.
