2013 Wahkon Hunt for the Lucky Lure

The lure was hidden on a trail between 3rd and 4th street, more towards the 3rd street end, on the ground among sticks, there is a “do not enter” sign where the trail would theoretically continue. Search online to figure out the *bonus clue* as well as other clue references.

The lure was hidden away from the farming type areas around town and more towards the lake, there is a wooden statue of a hand holding a baby near the end of 3rd st. *see bonus clue below*

Tony “Button” is/has been heading the charge to “improve” the parks. The easiest/most accessible way to access the trail that the lure was hidden by is through the city park, but you had to take a walk out of the park at the end of the trail to see the baby statue in the previous clue and have keen eyes to notice the area off the trail and search in the leaves to find it.

If you look at the historical tour/map of Wahkon (available online or on the walls of City Hall) you would find The Rex Hotel, was advertised as “The largest hotel between Minneapolis and Duluth”, the general area behind was once owned by the railroad, including the trail ending at 3rd st.

In the area at the end of 3rd st, outside where the trail ends, you see a bird house up high, which could be seen from the hiding site of the Lure, the wooden statue of a hand holding a baby, 3 docks and some boats.
The Lucky Lure was found after this clue, in the woods, off the trail in city park (lakeside) at the 3rd street end, tucked in the leaves.
*a bonus clue* if you searched the names of the characters online to see what they had in common you would find them all in the Broadway musical “Into the Woods”, which starts, as any other fairy tale starts, with “Once Upon a Time”. You had to go into the woods to find the Lure
