Submitted by Administrator on

A city-wide Medallion Hunt will be held beginning Sunday, February 1. The medallion will be hidden on public land in Chanhassen and a clue as to its location will be released daily at Byerly's, Chanhassen Center Drug, Chanhassen Library and on this site, until Saturday, February 7. For contest rules and more information, visit the Chanhassen Library. Prize package is provided by Byerly's, Chanhassen Center Drug, Mainstream Boutique and Friends of the Chanhassen Library.

The Rules

1.  Search but do not destroy or damage any property.  The Friends of the Chanhassen Library reserves the right to terminate the hunt if property becomes damaged.  The medallion will not be hidden under the ground; nor will it be hidden at a height requiring special equipment to find it.  A shovel may be useful if it is buried in the snow, but a metal detector is useless as the medallion is acrylic.

2.  The Chanhassen Library has resources that may help you solve some of the clues.

3.  The medallion must be and the prize claimed by 12 noon, on Monday February 9th.  The winner will be required to fill out a  W-9 Request for Taxpayer ID prior to receiving the prize.

4.  Employees of the Carver County Library System, Director of the Friends of the Chanhassen Library and immediate family members of those two groups are ineligible to win.

Medallion Clues

Starting Sunday February 1st, clues will be posted daily after 10:00 am until the medallion is found.
