A LOOK BACK AT LAST YEAR:
Last year was definitely one for the ages, as hunters managed to make it to the correct park and get locked in as early as clue 3! As always, there were a few stragglers that were lost until the very end. Even though very experienced hunters were able to get there early, the Treasure Medallion was still not discovered until the final clue! Due mostly to the fact that everyone was just missing the mark, searching just 10-25 feet away from the Treasure Medallion for over 24 hours! And then, finally, about 10-15 mins after the final clue was released, Matthew Koskie and Katie Gremiel took the victorious leap and found the 2018 Treasure Medallion! The 2018 Treasure Medallion was hidden at Falcon Heights Community Park embedded in a cut off piece of a tree limb, under bark just inches off the main trail of the park! This marks Matthew Koskie’s 6th of 7 Coldest’s Lost Treasure finds........... Seriously, if anyone can please stop this man from finding it this year I will buy you a free pitcher of beer or drink upon your request, Im not joking.

*THE CRITICAL CLUE RETURNS AS A STAPLE OF THE HUNT!
I will be releasing yet again a "bonus clue" at the release of clue 6. The way it works is, this "bonus clue" will not tell you anything about where the Treasure Medallion is located, instead it will lead you to another clue I have hidden on PUBLIC LAND in Ramsey County. This (what I like to call the "critical clue") will contain essential information on where the Treasure Medallion is located. There will be only 1 copy of the "critical clue" so finders keepers if anyone finds it. The finder is not required to inform anyone on the find even me the clue writer, so hunt for it at your own risk.
*SCRAMBLED CLUES WILL MAKE THEIR RETURN!
We had a positive response to our scrambled clues last year, this year we will continue the fun with a scrambled clue being released 1 hour before the unscrambled clues is normally released!
WAYS TO PLAY:
It costs $10.00 to register to win the whole cash prize + prize package (estimated to be $250-$500 + prize package)! If you chose to not register you can still hunt, but the finder will only be awarded $100 for finding the medallion, the rest of the money will be rolled over to next years hunt. 3 options to pay, you can pay me at the kickoff party in person, send a check in the mail (message me for address), or send via PayPal to Ssanftner88@yahoo.com
The time has come yet again, to raise yar cutlass and battle it out for the gold and riches! Will anyone be able to stop the bloody pirate Matthew Koskie from yet again claiming the loot? Will it be you that overcomes this pirates wrath and faces the golden glimmer of treasure? Study yar maps, gather yar crews, batten the hatches, it’s time to search for Coldest’s Lost Treasure!
BONUS CLUE (LEADING TO THE CRITICAL CLUE):

On your noble trip, purple is the tip.
Such a nice Impressive place to travel.

• Noble and Impressive are synonyms of Grand. Grand Avenue is near Pleasant Place.
• Trip and travel are synonyms of journey, journey’s secondary school is across the street from Pleasant Place.
• “Purple” is a reference to the purple lilac bushes near the Critical Clue.
• If one was to stand on the trail near the freeway barrier and the purple lilacs and the gigantic limbs you can see a street sign of a stoplight. You are every close to the Critical Clue.
• “Gigantic limbs” is a reference to the nearby art on the bench and pull up bars near the Critical Clue. The bench has huge feet on it and the pull up bars vertical supports are shaped like huge arms with hands.
CRITICAL CLUE:
Get on your saddle, head off to battle.
Don your sword, shield, and armor on this quest.
Amidst your heated brawl, stay in St Paul.
Searching like Mowgli on page 1 is best.
EXPLANATION:
• Head to Battle Creek Regional Park, the St Paul portion.
• Sword, shield, armor, and quest are references to McKnight Rd, hinting at a knight.
• “Heated” is a keyword for Phoenix Apts neat the Treasure Medallion.
• The Critical Clue was hidden inside on page one of a Golden Book copy of the Jungle Book. Rudyard Kipling is the author and the Treasure Medallion is in line with Kipling Street.
• On page one it depicts Mowgli walking on a narrow trail with thick woods/ jungle around him, similar to the area of the Treasure Medallions hiding spot. Also Mowgli seems to be close to the edge of the woods, just how the Treasure Medallion is hidden.
